Emerging from Denver, Colorado, a riveting story unfolds as a quartet journeys through their musical aspirations. Hailing from the four corners of the country, all four members moved to Denver within months of one another; fate proving itself in a year of change. Upon their first meet, an instantaneous bond formed, their chemistry taking flight, producing a well-formulated blueprint for the rock and roll they would soon create. With tasty melodies and intimately honest lyrics, their uniquely diverse sound became unable to harness. Thus, circa 2014, Blue Mesa was born.
Amy and the Peace Pipes
The piano rock band, Amy and the Peace Pipes, will touch your emotional core, while leaving you stomping your feet. With heartfelt lyrics, don’t be surprised when Amy’s raw and captivating vocals linger.
Amy Russell can’t count the number of times music has helped her through rough situations: whether it was healing from a previous abusive relationship, letting go of people who are toxic, to discovering that second chances really do exist – music has always been a foundation for her to stand upon. In writing her poems, her songs, she hopes people will listen and know that you are not alone in this life.
After telling her story in open mics, coffee shops, and solo radio performances, Amy sought to form a band that could match the energy of her passion. She turned to two of her best friends to form a band and take her music to the next level, and with some of her best friends formed Amy and the Peace Pipes (AatPP) was formed with John Russell on Guitars and Vocals, Chad Wickham on Bass, and Jeromey Balderrama on Drums.
Based out of Fort Collins, Colorado, Highjacked was formed when lead singer and keyboardist Megan Bright joined forces with drummer Nate Brown to create a unique band that would bring a whole new sound to Alternative Rock. They hijacked bass player Jesse Lee and thus created their namesake: Highjacked. After about a year of being a 3 piece band, they eventually found guitarist Tyler Maxey and that's where the magic began. This lively group of musicians, with their driving rhythms and heart-filled lyrics, creates an ecclectic sound that keeps people grooving. It's Rock & Roll with a sweet, sweet twist.
